November 2, 2025, will remain an unforgettable day in the history of Indian women’s cricket. At D.Y. Patil Stadium in Mumbai, the Indian team defeated South Africa by 52 runs to win the One-Day World Cup for the first time. The excitement and pride of that historic moment are still fresh. Captain Harmanpreet Kaur and vice-captain Smriti Mandhana took the celebration a step further by marking the victory in a personal way.

The two stars recently visited the famous Aliens Tattoo Studio in Mumbai to get new tattoos. These tattoos reflect the team’s journey, struggles, and, ultimately, the feeling of winning the World Cup. Studio founder and CEO Sunny Vanushali said, “This is not just a tattoo—it’s a story and an emotion.”

The day after the World Cup victory, at 2 a.m. on Tuesday, Harmanpreet arrived at the studio. Vanushali recalled, “That night was full of emotions. Harmanpreet directly shared her thoughts with me. She wanted a design that would reflect faith, perseverance, and pride.”

Harmanpreet had previously visited Aliens Tattoo in June 2024, when she got a geometric mandala design with the Sanskrit mantra “Aham Brahmasmi” at the center, meaning “I myself am the universe.” This new tattoo represents the next chapter of her journey, incorporating the symbol of her World Cup triumph.
Once the tattoo was complete, the studio was filled with a celebratory atmosphere. “The pride and satisfaction on Harmanpreet’s face at that moment were the greatest reward for us,” Vanushali recalled.

After the tattoo session, Harmanpreet spent some time with the studio team, taking pictures and sharing stories. During her previous visit, she had gifted her signed cricket bat to the studio, which still holds a special place on the walls of Aliens Tattoo.
