For senior defender Pratik Chaudhari, the marathon is more than just a race. “The Dil Se Daudo Half Marathon is about community — it’s about people coming together, testing their limits, and celebrating the spirit of Jamshedpur. Whether you’re running 5 km or 21 km, what matters is being part of something that unites the city,” he said.

Head Coach Steven Dias linked the marathon to values that define sportsmanship. “Marathons teach us that success comes from consistency and self-belief,” he said. “Just like in football, it’s not about how fast you start but how strong you finish. I hope to see people of all ages running with pride for our city.”

The 2024 edition of the marathon saw an impressive 4,821 participants from 18 states, showcasing its growing popularity across India. This year, participation is expected to exceed 5,500 runners, reflecting Jamshedpur’s growing enthusiasm for health and wellness.

The Half Marathon (21.097 km) category, introduced for the first time in 2024, drew nearly 500 runners. Building on that success, the 2025 edition aims for even greater participation in this prestigious event.

With a total prize pool of ₹9.18 lakh, Tata Steel continues to promote fitness, determination, and competitive spirit among participants. The marathon route will remain the same across all categories, ensuring a familiar, safe, and well-organized experience for runners.
